Curriculum vitae
Esteemed conductor and internationally recognized performer with three decades of experience, he is primarily known for a series of solo tours and performances with the Italo-Russian Marijnsky Trio in St. Petersburg (soprano, flute, and piano), associated with the famous city opera theater. Recently, he has presented a series of themed concerts he created: "Popularia Aurea," "Europa Felix," and "’700 Lux Humanitatis," focusing on literature for flute and guitar. These concerts have been performed at notable venues, including Il Maschio Angioino in Naples for the "Estate a Napoli" festival, Teatro Basilica in Rome, the Pergolesi Spontini Foundation in Jesi, and the Ventoclassic event in Ventotene. In particular, the "Europa Felix" performance was held in Ventotene in celebration of the 80th anniversary of Altiero Spinelli's Ventotene Manifesto for a free and united Europe.
He served as the director of the ancient music orchestra "Fontegara" in Ravello for a decade. The orchestra is remembered for a series of concerts in Ravello and across Italy, including a highly appreciated original version of "Carmina Burana." First, it was orchestrated in a medieval style by the conductor himself, followed by the famous and highly successful version by Karl Orff. More recently, he has produced an unpublished recording dedicated to the quartets for flute and strings by Paisiello, with the "Musicalfa" quartet (flute, violin, viola, and cello) of which he is the solo flutist, with a particular focus on the extensive production of 18th-century Neapolitan music.
